The people on your floor
Our story
J&G Epoxy Coatings was founded in Galena, Ohio in April 2024 by Walt Grischow and his close friend Ben Judge. Walt had spent seven years as a project manager for a commercial flooring contractor, running epoxy, MMA, polished concrete, terrazzo and overlay projects in plants, kitchens and retail stores, and the two of them started J&G to bring that standard of work to central Ohio homes and businesses.
Ben passed away in January 2025. His name stays on the company, and the way he treated customers is still the way we run every job.
Today Walt runs the crew and answers the phone. Andrew Zivich, our project manager, is on most jobs with him. Between us there are more than 14 years of floor experience, most of it on commercial and industrial work, and we bring the same equipment, materials and habits to a two-car garage.
